The cycle-count cadence and lot-control workflow that took them from 94% to near-perfect.
When Maven Skincare moved to Navdev, their inventory accuracy was hovering around 94%. For a brand running flash sales and lot-controlled SKUs, that meant a constant stream of oversells, refunds, and reputation damage.
The first change was switching from annual physical counts to daily cycle counts. Every SKU is touched at least once per quarter, with A-movers counted weekly. Discrepancies are investigated within 24 hours, not at year-end.
The second change was lot-level traceability. Every receipt is logged with its lot number and expiration date, and the WMS automatically picks the oldest lot first. That eliminated the slow-moving expired stock that used to write off mid-year.
Within 90 days, inventory accuracy climbed to 99.97%. Oversells dropped to near zero, and the operations team reclaimed the hours they used to spend on reconciliation. The same workflow now powers three new SKU launches a quarter.
